UN to provide aid for Burma’s most troubled, poorest ethnic areas

Some of the most troubled areas of Burma will be the focus of a US$ 144 million 
United Nations Development Program (UNDP), which will tackle three main tasks 
to improve the regions’ development.  

The three-year plan is to be carried out in Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Rakhine 

and Shan states, said the state-run New Light
