South Korean banks are pushing to make inroads into the Burmese market 
in a bid to find new sources of income amid a saturated local market, The Korea 
Times reported on Monday, citing Korean officials.

Burmese sailors set adrift in lifeboat by pirates

Marine rescuers in southern Vietnam on Thursday rescued five Burmese 
and four Indonesian sailors who had been attacked four days earlier 
by Indonesian pirates and left to drift at sea in a lifeboat, according 
to a report by Vietnamese daily Thanh Nien News.



Indian air chief leads defense delegation to Burma

An Indian defense delegation led by Air Chief Marshal N.A. K. Browne begins 
a four-day visit to Burma on Monday, November 26, when they will meet 
President Thein Sein with talks aimed at cementing defense ties.

India is sending Browne along with a five-member team comprising senior 
officers of the three services, Indian media reported.
