Myanmar Trade Union Leaders to receive training in Japan
2-Sep-13Ten leaders of Federation of Trade Unions of
Myanmar left for Japan to attend Youth Leadership
Course in Japan on 1-7 Sep, General
Secretary U Maung Maung said ,
The course by Japan International
Labour Assistance Foundation .
The course will cover activities of labour
unions, labour laws, collaborative dispute
settlement and information sharing, according
to Secretary of FTUM Daw Khaing Zar Aung.
The trainees are from labour unions of
Myanmar Locomotive Shed, agriculture,
Industrial zones and transportation sectors.
Myanmar has 197 labour unions with
16041 members. The FTUM has become
a full- fledged members of International
Trade Union Council. (New Light of Myanmar)
