People’s militia holds second training in Kachin

The people’s militia in Kachin is training recruits to beef up security in villages 
along the Ayeyawady River.
Sources said the move to protect the Shan villages came when violent clashes 
between government troops and the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) intensified.

Chin civilian social group formed to aid suffering

A new civilian social club for those suffering from grief and bereavement was formed 
by a non-profit organization in Paletwa Town, in southern Chin state. 
The club that started on Dec.29 is not affiliated to any political party.
