More Mine Activists Arrested

The four Burmese protesters refuse to be bailed out in an act of defiance, sources say.
Four activists in northern Burma have been taken into police custody 
for their role in demonstrations tied to a controversial copper mine 
and are refusing bail in protest of their arrest, relatives and fellow activists said Friday.

Sweden asks India to clarify arms presence in Burma

Sweden asked India on Thursday to clarify how Swedish-made weapons 
wound up in Burma in breach of EU sanctions, after it was revealed 
the Indian army had purchased the arms, Trade Minister Ewa Bjorling said.
