Mutual understanding vital for democracy: Suu Kyi

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi said that people could not enjoy genuine democracy 
if there was no mutual understanding in the community.

The chairperson of the National League for Democracy party spoke at a ceremony 
to commemorate the country’s 65th Independence Day on January 4 
at the party headquarters in Yangon.

The Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) on December 28 gave Coca-Cola 
Company permission to construct a factory in the country.

The American multinational beverage corporation will operate its business 
under the registered name Cola Pinya Beverages Myanmar Ltd 
as a joint venture with the local Pinya Manufacturing Co Ltd.
